Often these questions concern non-physical subject matter about whether or not something exists (ontology) and what features or properties it has. Metaphysical topics in philosophy traditionally include questions about cosmology, free will and determinism, personal identity, mind versus matter, the existence of God, identity and change, necessity and possibility, rationalism versus empiricism, and any non-empirical questions about reality.
In the philosophy of jazz metaphysical questions could include "Does playing jazz make a musician more spiritual?"
