Ring</span> <span style="color:blue">began thinking about PhilosophyOfJazz.net/PoJ.fm during his sabbatical at <span style="color:orange">Orange Coast College</span><span style="color:blue"> in 2009. Some of the base content on PhilosophyOfJazz/PoJ.fm was written by Dr. Ring during his sabbatical. Dr. Ring was greatly assisted in thinking about philosophy of jazz with help from his colleague and collaborator,</span> <span style="color:red">Dr. Charles Otwell</span><span style="color:blue">. Dr. Otwell currently chairs the Orange Coast College's Philosophy Department. Prior to earning his Ph.D. in Philosophy from UC-Irvine, Otwell played keyboards for Poncho Sanchez's Latin Jazz band for ten years.</span><br />
