What is the origin of hard bop?
Obviously, hard bop is a jazz genre or style of music that follows the creation of Bebop. Bebop was made by Charlie Parker (as), Dizzy Gillespie (tr), Charlie Christian (eg), Thelonious Monk (p), Max Roach (d), some bass player (b). Bebop develop towards the end of World War II in New York City between 1942-1950.
It is important to understand how Bebop was played because hard bop was developed as a contrasting approach.
