    Worst mistakes in jazz[edit]

    1. Failure to know jazz's musical history.
    2. Failure to respect your jazz elders.
    3. Not entering in as soloist at the right entry point.
    4. Not knowing where is the one in the beat/pulse.
    5. Not cooperating with fellow musicians during performance.
    6. Not intently listening to what the other musicians are playing.
